Alana and Michael's Beautiful Bali Wedding

Bali is a beautiful island that a lot of people are familiar with. We decided to have our wedding in Bali because Mick proposed to me there and it was a nice easy getaway for the family and guest who don't like to travel far. We stayed in Bali for 10 nights. Both the Hens party and Bucks party were held in Bali as well as a dinner for all the guest and family to meet and catch up before and after the wedding.

Our wedding did not have a theme, we just wanted it to be classic with white details so it would not take away from the amazing venue that is the Royal Pita Maha. My dress was ivory with a light dusty pink under lining with a thin belt around the waist and a small lace and jewelled embellishment to match the hair piece I wore. The bridesmaids wore a cobalt blue one-shouldered dress with a split to keep them cool. Mick wore a crisp white button up shirt with the sleeves rolled under a grey vest that matched his pants along with his late grandfathers pocket watch pinned to the waist pocket. As for the groomsmen they all wore a light grey/blue button up shirt with suspenders and rolled sleeves and grey pants to match Mick.

I had 60 guests and we opted for a sit down reception as we wanted that formal element to the evenings celebrations.

I honestly could not pick a favourite memory, but some that stand out are lantern release at the reception, our first dance, speeches and our vowels.

Thank you so much to all the hard work and amazing support Botanica Weddings put in and gave us. I could not have wished for a better day.
